The lodge is 19 km to the North of Maun on the way to the Moremi Game Reserve. It is just 20 mins drive from the airport. It is set on the river Thamalakane. The lawns lead down to the river lined with reeds and lilies. The lodge area is surrounded by spectacular gardens with a stream and waterfalls running through. There is a small attractive swimming pool with views across the river.
They have 18 traditional stone chalets of varying sizes and facilities. Some have splash pools. There is a honeymoon suite. All have patios with views across the river.
All dining is in a central area with a choice of the main restaurant, or out on the decking closer to the river. The menu is very varied and comprehensive. There is little doubt that this restaurant is considered to be ‘the’ place to dine in Maun. The wine list is extensive and offers everything from a very reasonably priced and good house wine to specialist wines and champagne.
Moremi Game Reserve is just 90 mins drive away. Day safaris are offered or you may wish to stay a night at a lodge in the reserve.
