The camp is on the Boro River overlooking Chief’s Island and borders the Moremi game reserve.
The thatched lodge area is outstanding with well maintained furnishings and fittings. There is ample comfortable seating for all guests to sit at the same time. The attractive bar has stools around it. There is an excellent small swimming pool in a beautiful garden.
At Gunn’s there are only 6 tents which are exceptional. The most remarkable aspect to these tents is the lounge area foyer. This has sliding doors into the main tent and the canvas front can be opened up onto the large patio overlooking the flood plains.
The ‘Thirsty Buffalo Bar’ and lounge has a view across the flood plain where ornithologists can sit in comfort all day and observe a very diverse number of birds without having to even move from the lodge.
There are two dining areas both with the same view as the lounge area. The upper dining room is used for dinner.
