Kwara Camp, Okavango Delta

The Kwara concession (NG20) is in the middle of the Delta on the northern edge and adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve. To this end there is a variety of dry land areas, shallow floodplains and deep water. Access is usually by air but boat transfers to camps in the Moremi Game reserve are available.

The camp is set on an island amongst trees on the edge of a lagoon. There are eight luxury tents, including a honeymoon tent and a lodge area with a small swimming pool. All tents are en-suite with showers. The honeymoon tent also has a bath. It is an open camp. Due to this it is not unusual to see game from the lodge or indeed passing through. There are many hippopotami in the lagoon. We have had frequent sightings of elephants, warthogs, hyenas and giraffe from this location. Baboons and vervet monkeys abound.

All activities, food and drink are inclusive. The main activities are game drives, boat and mokoro excursions. The enormous size of this concession gives the guides ample opportunity to show guests a large variety of game and birds. However, this all depends on the time of year, and the weather. Nothing is guaranteed.
