Nxabega Camp, Okavango Delta

The location of this camp is fairly central in the Okavango Delta to the west of Chief’s Island. It is on a private concession (NG27A) which is shared by two other camps. However each camp has its own territory. It is normally accessed by air but land transfers can be arranged to nearby camps.

There are nine luxury tents all en-suite. They are built on wooden platforms with verandas overlooking the floodplain.

The spectacular lodge area houses the dining and sitting area. There is no bar per se but a large drinks cabinet in the lounge. There is a wood burning stove for the cold winter evenings. On our many visits to this camp we have always been impressed by the attentiveness of the management and staff.

Most luxury camps in the delta have excellent cuisine. At this camp, and others owned by &Beyond we have found it to be exceptional. Another special aspect at Nxabega is their innovative ideas for dining. It seems that no night is the same. Some evenings it will be in the dining room, others by the pool and if weather permits an incredible surprise barbecue in the bush.

Activities include game drives, boats, mokoro, walking and fishing. Everything is inclusive.
