Old Bridge Backpackers, Maun

The camp is just to the North of Maun and set on the river. There is an attractive waterfall feature between the bar and the river. A small swimming pool is to the side of the lodge.

There are four permanent tents of a high standard with two beds. Two have an en-suite bathroom with shower. All linen is supplied. There are also a number of pre-erected dome tents available. The camp site is a nice size with many trees for shade. It has a communal kitchen for self catering.

We have found the bar to be very popular with both visitors and the local people. It is a wonderful rustic design by the river under a thatched roof with a sand floor. The whole atmosphere is incredibly friendly. Bar snacks are served all day.

Many activities are available from this location. They have their own boats and offer various excursions varying from half a day, a whole day or overnight camping. They also run mokoro and kayak trips of varying lengths. They organise mobile safaris. Moremi Game Reserve is just 90 minutes drive away. Day safaris are offered or you may wish to stay a night at a lodge in the reserve.
